Coaching Philosophy
When you seek the services of a coach or mentor coach, you have many excellent choices. Working with Melinda as your Leadership Coach or Mentor, you will quickly understand that she has done her own work in learning about her why (purpose) and how she implements her why, which is what her skills provide.
Melinda’s purpose is to contribute—to be a part of a cause that is bigger than herself. This purpose is expressed through her coaching approach of focusing only on the client’s goals and supporting them through empowering discussions, observations, and exploration, partnering with the client to help them gain insights and deeper self-awareness while achieving their goals.
Her how is to make sense, meaning that Melinda is good at her what, which is helping her clients make sense of complex and challenging situations that leads them to clarity about issues which, in turn, leads to finding solutions.
If you are seeking a mentor coach who is passionate about contributing to your defined success, to support you in difficult and complicated problem-solving situations, and can help you get clarity about your actions and next steps, then Melinda is the ideal coach for you.
Mentor Coaching
It’s often said that as soon as you receive the certification from your ICF Coaching school, it’s wise to get a mentor coach. Having the support of a mentor early in your coaching journey helps each coach avoid developing ineffective habits and start to develop skills that will be required for the next ICF certification level. And, yes, this commitment to strengthening coaching skills and expanding knowledge requires a commitment of time, energy, curiosity, and an openness to learning.
Melinda is deeply committed to helping develop and supporting the next generation of ICF Leadership Coaches. She works with coaches at the ACC and PCC levels, both individually and in groups, to achieve the next ICF level of certification. She also works with coaches at all levels who are committed to continuing their own journey of coaching mastery and personal and professional development.
